During my time at Popcultcha, I usually spend my day taking photos of Funko Pops, but I've been lucky to stretch my creative wings at time.
I was chosen as a featured artist in the two art shows Popcultcha hosted at our Collector Gallery in North Geelong.
The first one was called "One Giant Leap" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo XI Moon landing.
I chose to do what I do best, and draw a bunch of my favourite space themed characters duking it out on the moon.
The second show was Halloween themed, and I chose to follow up with a similar image, this time naturally featuring as many spooky or ghostly characters as I could manage.
During 2022, I was given the new duty of creating banners for the Popcultcha website to advertise specific new products or sales.
I really enjoy doing these, as I get to think a bit more creatively.
Aside from photography, I also do the bulk of the videography work at Popcultcha.
During the 2022 AFL season, Popcultcha became a sponsor of the Geelong Cats, and so they asked us to provide an advert to play on screen kiosks around GMHBA Stadium.

The brief was simply to provide the addresses of our physical stores, a general
list of the products we sell, show off some Funko Pops, and use slime if
possible.
I added all that in, but still wanted something extra, so I hopped into After
Effects and animated our “Bigfoot” logo to make him and the text pop up,
and to have him blink. I think it all came out really well.
I also produce the majority of our social media videos which we use to spotlight new products.
