My first assignment with JDM ProStreet was to create a series of stickers featuring caricatures of various famous rappers, such as Kanye West, Drake, The Weeknd, Tupac, and Chance the Rapper.
One of my favourite assignments during my internship was to create a set of stickers featuring technology from my childhood in the 90’s and early 00’s.
In the early 90’s, there was an arcade basketball game called “NBA Jam”. My task was to create basketball cards featuring well known players, but in the retro 8-bit style of “NBA Jam”. We featured some of the more recognisable players like Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, and gave them all star ratings out of 5.
We wanted to create a set of stickers featuring cute animals, but saying rude or insulting phrases. Naturally we looked to use puns, such as the subjectively ugly blobfish saying “You’re ugly” or a sloth saying “You’re stupid.”
A crossover between Disney & It to promote the recent movie release. I wanted to mix Pennywise’s creepy appearance with the safe and cute Disney style.
